Kokyu Gyokuro is a premium blend of Ujitawara Gyokuro and Wazuka Kabuse Cha, two of Kyoto Prefecture's most prized teas. By blending these, we achieve a consistently excellent gyokuro offered at a stable and affordable price. Kabuse Cha, shaded in its final week like Gyokuro, develops a distinct flavor profile between Sencha and Gyokuro. This Kokyu Gyokuro offers a harmonious experience, starting with light grassy hints, evolving into a deep umami sweetness, and culminating in a pleasant lingering taste.
Steeping Suggestions:
Hot: 170°F Amount: 1.5-2 tsp. of tea. Steep: 2 minutes
Iced: Steep 1 oz of tea overnight (or 8-12 hours) in 1 liter of water.
