Organic GABA Cha Oolong

from $52.00

An incredible Northern Taiwanese high mountain oolong, this tea is rich in GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid) molecules, which is an amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. The GABA molecules are naturally released from the tea leaves through a tedious process of exposing the tea leaves to air and agitating them for just a few minutes after being vacuum sealed for several hours. This process is repeated five times to get the most GABA released. This process was perfected in Japan, and is the reason why GABA Cha is so special.

Benefits of taking GABA include: memory retention, curing hangovers, weight loss, relaxation, fighting depression and relieving stress & anxiety. The benefits alone would make this an outstanding tea, however the flavor profile is complex as well! Delicious and rich, this unique oolong has notes of kabocha squash and nutmeg.

Steeping Suggestions:

Hot: 212°F Amount: 2 tsp. of tea. Steep: 3-4 minutes

Iced: Steep 1 oz of tea overnight (or 8-12 hours) in 1 liter of water.

Moderate amount of caffeine.
